don't panic quite yet, I know it's hard to think of anything else, but your body is not a clock - you may just be late. If you used protection your chance of getting pregnant is much smaller than if not. I suggest you go to your doctor or a counceler to get actual numbers and facts. There are programs in most places that will help financially and emotionally if decide to keep the baby. Also most places offer schooling with the baby close by for free daycare for young mothers. You are not that young, and may regret the decision late on like I do. I was 16 when I became pregnant and I had a abortion. I think about my angels every day and I am now 23. I have a 5 year old and when I had her I went to TEAM. it stand for teenage education and motherhood. It is in a school setting but you work at your own pace. There is a teacher present for questions etc. And the daycare is free for mothers in the program. The children are in the next room and mothers can leave when they want to see their kids. it is a great program and now I have my e.c.e. Yes, there is a chance that you will be unable to have children after an abortion, although I'm not sure the exact percent. If you have a supportive family who can help you through the ordeal you will do well. It doesn't have to be as hard as you think to have a child at your age. It was normal a generation ago! If you do decide to have surgery - that's what it is, check the facilities for cleanliness and the doctors certificates etc. if they are real doctors it will be easier recovery and lessen your chances for not being able to have kids later. When I did it the doctors were really cold and uncaring. it was really scary, and I didn't have any support - no one knew. it was really difficult, but at the time I didn't know about these other programs and didn't see any other way. Good luck on whatever your decision , you may not even need to make one! sarah
