abnormal AFP test

I am sorry to bother you but i am just wondering if anyone else has had a AFP test done and had an increase in their test for a neural tube defect and if there can be false positives, because i had one done and it said that the baby has a 1 in 77% chance of having it. Has anyone had abnormal results, and have everything turn out alright with their baby. I would really appreciate the responses. I find out more next friday but i am so scared and nervous. Thanks
