I am 7 1/2 weeks pregnant. Have already had 2 ultrasounds. They both show that baby has a heartbeat. The second ultrasound showed a small amount of blood had pooled behind the placenta. "A coronual abruption". I was put on bedrest for 72 hours; during the course of all this I have had 4 quant. hcg tests. The hcg is not doubling every 2 days as it should, it's increasing about 1500 every 2 days. So it's going up but just barely. Have had really bad nausea since 5 1/2 weeks. A lot more tired than I was with my first child. They are calling it a threatenend miscarrage. I'm just wondering, since there is a heartbeat, what could be the possible reasons for so little increase in the hcg? Thank you for your time!
