You mention exercise. I have felt defeated because I did Jazzercise (similar to aerobics with more dancing and 1/2 hour of floor work) faithfully before pregnancy. I always swore I would be the one to dance all the way to delivery. But I have only been once, at around 4 weeks. Maybe doing the videos at home will be better. I've been afraid to go to class with this nausea.

: Well I hate to break it to you, but sometimes it doesn't go away at twelve weeks. That is the average in studies, but the truth is, you may also find little or no relief at 12 weeks pregnant, but may remain sick longer and some women do throguhout their whole pregnancies. Try not to sit or stand for too long.. alternate periods of walking and standing. Make sure you eat! Another thing is, if yuo haven't been to an OB yet, go! If you are anemic, you will need to start taking prescribed iron pills. Plus, the OB will test for low blood sugar which can make for sickness as well. I recommend keeping crackers on you at all times. Avoid acidic foods like oranges or other citurs fruits, as far as juice goes, since a glass of OJ a day is recommended, buy the LOW ACID kinds.. there are plenty of them now a days. Plus, avoid tomatos and tomato sauces..very very acidic and will only irritate your tummy more. Keep a container of saltines or ritz crackers by your bed. As soon as you wake up in the morning eat maybe 10 or so and lay there about 20 minutes til your tumy settles. Don't try rushing around.. even if it means you have to et ready for work in the morning, then you may have to start going ot bed at 8 or 9 at night even to make sure you get enough sleep. Sleep is very important with morning sickness. Ginger ale is about the best thing to drink next to water. Lots and lots of water helps. It keeps your body cleaned out and refreshed. I know many women can't stand drinking water and for some reason have to have soda, what do I say? Grow up and give it up.. this is your child we are talking about here! During the first trimester nutrition doesnt matter as much as 12 weeks and up.. so really whatever you can keep down is okay.. try avoiding greasy fries and fast foods though, they really only worsen the problem with sickness. Do what works for you. Exercise, while it seems unbearable can also help and gives you a lot more energy as well. I recommend two video tapes.. FitMama with Leisa hart and Denise Austins pregnancy plus workout.. both are great and designed for pregnancy.. becuase you cant work out the same now as you did before you got pregnant and both are cheap and available online or at target or walmart etc.. whatever works for you is good. i know you feel miserable. Just try to get a lot of rest and eat healthy. Also, keep taking your prenatal vitamins and if you are vomiting often during the day, take your vitamin at the time you are least likely to be vomiting if you can figure it out.. becuase even if you cant keep down food much of the day, the vitamin will give yuo and baby a lot of the nutrients you need. good luck.
