True. A line is a line. I am a registered nurse as well as a medical technologist. I used to run all the preg tests in the lab. Doctors are not always right. While there CAN be false positives...they are not common. False negatives are more common, meaning you can be pregnant, but it's not showing up yet. Your HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) level sometimes takes a little time to rise for the pregnancy test to read it.
