| Anytime of the day is when I am sick, I am hardly keeping anything down these days and it is so hard to be happy for this baby blessing. I am trying to be as happy as I possibly can but with this morning sickness it is draining everything out of me on a daily basis. I have made my bedroom or my couch my new place to be in the house because I am so sick and tired constantly. I have been waking up the same time each night for the past 3-4 days to throw up, so I known how you are feeling. Just do what you can to get through this horrible stage of pregnancy. |

Smurfette-
Finally a fellow Canada-adian! If you are feeling really terrible and can't keep anything down at all ask your doc for Diclectin. It was my best friend for like 4-5 months!!! Before I got it I was the same way; I couldn't eat anything at all, I couldn't even function I was so weak and, oh God it was just HELL! I was so desperately thirsty and hungry!! My stomach KILLED from wretching so much!!... Lol I'm glad it's over and I can laugh about it now, but at the time, I know...there are no words to describe how much agony I was in!! Like I've said before: Puking became like breathing to me! Anyway there is more help out there than dry crackers!! After being put on the pills I could eat and drink! Not to mention smell things without getting sick!! It was like I was back to normal!!! It is also good because you can actually feed your baby!! I was getting worried because I literally couldn't EAT at all for weeks! There was mabey one day a week where I could keep a little bit down but thats it! So anyway I thought I'd let you know about this because I know how TERRIBLE getting severe morning sickness is!! So good luck!!!!!! keep me posted!
BTW how far along are you?? |

MH:
Thanks for the information I am quite concerned on taking anything for the morning sickness as I am only 8 weeks along right now. I did however get a full nights rest last night woohoo. I have only been sick twice since this morning I am finding that oranges are helping out alot. I am missing all of the meat that I like to eat for dinner. I am just happy to keep some of the food down right now. I am dying of thirst and want to chug everything in site down. I will keep your advice in mind if it doesn't get better or it gets worse as the days/weeks go on. I am so glad to have found this place where I can talk to other ladies who are in the same boat as me. Feel free to add me to your MSN if any of you just want to sit and chat about this or everyday other stuff.

Hey I just wanted to say that I know EXACTLY what you mean when you say you just want to chug anything you can get your hands on. I remember feeling the same way very well!! I remember now that I practically lived off ritz crackers and cheddar cheese (before the meds) you might want to try that. Anyway yea I love this site too it's my excitement for the day . I don't get out much now that I am so huge and I don't talk to many friends anymore either. Besides, none of them are pregnant so they can't relate to me much anymore anyway! It's always nice to talk to people in the same situation as you. Well I hope that your "morning" sickness dosn't last as long as mine did!!! And that it goes away soon!! |

Oh my goodness I think today is the best I have felt in about a week, I only got sick twice today and that was before breakfast. I was able to keep everything I ate and drank today, I am not getting my hopes up that this sickness business is gone but I cannot complain today as I am feeling pretty darn good. I am eating a light dinner, just a cup of pasta with some white sauce. I have this killer craving lately for fries and gravy, poor poor man of mine is having to suffer with me through this part hes eating whatever I am able to make or what I want to get for takeout. I am so glad to have found this place where I can talk to other women who are just like me.

Good Morning MH:
Oh how I love the poutine. I got my fries and gravy last night when my boyfriend came home he came in the door with fries and gravy from KFC. I was soooo happy, he had a big smile on his face as well.
Sam they are Fries, Gravy and Cheese all together in a dish and boy are they great to eat.
So far the morning sickness has really toned down, got sick once today so far which is really nice. I have been trying to breath in and out slowly to relax myself to stop it from happening and it has been helping alot. Funny thing is I went and bought some vitamin B6 and shortly after that I wasn't feeling sick anymore. I didn't even take off the security seal off of the bottle. Well you ladies have a great day and I will be checking in throughout the day to see whats new.

Good morning Lexi!!!
I'm so glad that your sickness is going away! (Hopefully, I don't want to jinx it!) I've got a doctor's appt. today at 5:30 so later tonight I'll be coming back on here and letting you all know how it went. I belive I'll get checked for group B strep (fun fun) and she may check me to see if I'm effacing and/or dialating I'm so happy and excited, my baby is almost here!! So yea, I'll talk to ya again later tonight!
Morning Sam!
Yea what they do is get a plate of fries, put grated motzarella cheese on them and pour hot gravy on top so the cheese melts. I'm pretty sure it's a Canadian thing so If you are ever in this neck of the woods you should give it a try! |
