| Hello, im a little bit worried that I could be pregnant. I came off the pill 3 months ago after being on it for around 2 months, as I suspected it was giving me bad headaches. My periods were normal and regular from then on but suddenly they have stopped and I havent had one for about 8 weeks. Ive been using condoms since I came off the pill and I dont appear to have any signs of pregnancy except some stomach cramps. Im worried about taking a test and finding out im pregnant as im about to take my A-Levels and cant handle any more stress! Do you think there is a chance that the pill has messed up my periods? x |

If you think about it.... you are really stressed out by not knowing if you are pregnant or not take the test and see. |

honey I would just take a test if it comes back posotive then so be it if it comes back negative you can stop worrying. You could also go see a ginacologist.

I would just take a test to ease your mind that way you can be relieved of the stress of not knowing which in itself can be worse than knowing one way or the other, cause at least if you do find out you are pregnant you can assess your options and what is best for you and come up with and deal with the situation in a less stressfull manner and focus on other things which you need to take care of.
On another note, no matter how long you are on the pill in a lot of women it tends to disrupt cycles making them long or short for a period of time. For awhile before my pregnancy I tried a bc and was only on it for the pill cycle (28 days) and then I didn't get a period for the next 2 months after I discontinued it then it started to regulate itself. And stress can also cause your cycles to change and then on top of that change they can change when you stress about whether or not you are pregnant and your body can trick itself into thinking its pregnant and act as though it is. So I guess I would take a hpt and if you still have doubts on the outcome make a quick trip to your doc for a blood test to confirm the results, good luck! |
