This is my fifth baby. I am seven weeks now. My daughter Mandee is 14 months old and the morning sickness with her was indescribable! I was totally dysfunctional! My mom had to take care of my other three children. It was pretty bad with the first three, but nothing like my pregnancy with Mandee or this current one.

I tried the preggie pops with the last pregnancy. It worked in the beginning but then it did nothing. Someone told me to put fresh ginger in tea and that worked, but it too, did nothing after awhile.

The only thing that worked for me was Zofran 8 mg every eight hours around the clock; it is safe to take. I took it with Mandee and I am a high risk patient. Phenergan will just knock you out.

Today, my doc told me to take Vitamin B6 every six hours like clockwork and then at night take half a Unisom sleep pill with the Vitamin B. I will try it and see if it helps. Everyone says it works wonders. Will let everyone know! Sad

I am in the same boat.... I feel AWFUL!!! I believe I am only 6 1/2 weeks pregnant (I don't go to the doctor until Monday), and I was fine until a few days ago, with just feeling bad in the morning. Now it is ALL DAY LONG!!!! and I don't even want my baby, I'm only 18, and I'm going to have an abortion, but I just cannot take this... i am going to try some of the suggestions here... hopefully I start feeling better.

Hi sick 412.

I am now 12 weeks preggers and I still have the morning sickness. There is something you can take. It is a vitamin called Premesis; one tablet every morning. I think it is helping me.

I am so, so sorry that you are having an AB. I would never tell anyone what to do, but maybe you might reconsider. HOw about adoption? My sister had breast cancer and cannot try to have children until 41 years of age. she is so upset. She is a realtor and her husband is an attorney with his own practice. They lives in Phoenix, arizona and would desperately love to adopt a baby. They are wonderful people and have a beautiful home.

Just some food for thought for you to think about. Maybe you may even decide to keep your baby.

I had AB's in the past. And you know, you maybe sorry you did in the future. Because now I have a problem with an incompetent cervix which was caused by elective abortion. they force your cervix open which may make it weak in future pregnancies. the result is the cervix opening prematurely and you would lose the baby at an age where it is to premature to survive. The results are devasting! I had to stay in the hospital with my third child because my cervix opened at 24 weeks, thank God the pregnancy was saved by some miracle of God.

Now with my Mandee I had to have my cervix sewn shut and she made it. I am hoping that this baby (my fifth preggers) will stay in. I am having the surgery in two weeks to sew the cervix shut.

Think long and hard about your decision. Believe me, I was there at age 18 myself and it was no fun. But the repercussions in the future could be devasting. Write me back if you want and good luck and God bless you with your decision.

Okay, the first few weeks of my pregnancy was just wonderful and then I hit week 6 and the morning sickness began. Not just in the morning but all day long. I got twenty minutes here and there to feel normal but right back to feeling sick. This is tax season and I am an accountant & I can't take a day off to handle throwing up.

I spoke to other girlfriends and got a couple of tips, how to handle it. They have worked for me so if your suffering, you got nothing to lose. First, try to cut down on carbs and eat more protein. Second, drink a glass of milk before bed time. Third, if the morning sickness hits you like a MACK truck when you first wake up. Down get up and brush your teeth, it just makes the feeling worst. Lie in bed and start nibbing on crakers and some ginger ale. After a few minutes, you should be able to get out of bed. Throught out the day, snack on crackers with peanut butter (protein). This has helped me greatly, from throwing up in the morning and the middle of the night to feeling somewhat normal.
