I'm almost through with week 13 and I'm STILL puking!!! Has anyone been through this??!?!

My doctor just prescripted zofran which seems to be working the majority of the time. I've already tried phenergan, which worked for a few days but then didn't. And I've already tried all the silly remedies that they recommmend like saltine crackers, sea bands, ginger, vitamin B6, Unisom and switching to a prenatal vitamin w/out iron-- all to no avail.

Has anyone been through this? How much longer is it going to last? I feel like I'm dying.

lol! Honey it will last as long as it wants to last! It's different for everyone. some ppl have it only like a month if that. Others have it all through their pregnancy. For me it lasted almost halfway through my pregnancy! It was SO BAD! I had to quit my job, I couldn't eat anything at all! or drink anything for that matter! It is nothing to be concerned about but it does suck! I got put on Diclectin and it worked like a MIRACLE aahhh.... I love diclectin lol! If you can get it then you'll know what I mean! I was so desperate! GOD I'm so glad THAT'S over! Hopefully you can get it because I live in Canada and I don't know if you've got it in the States which is where I'm assuming you're from. Anyway you've gotta bite the bullet as my mother would say. There's nothing you can do untill it goes away by itself! Even on meds it sucks because you are constantly having to decrease your doseage to see if your morning sickness is gone and if it's not then you'll be sick all over again untill the pills kick in again. poor girl, I know how much it sucks! By the way make sure you are getting enough iron! You don't want to become anemic! it sucks too, you have no energy! Good luck!!!

Oh darlin I feel for you.. I was so sick with my first son that they finally had to admit me to the hospital and keep me there until they got enough fluids in my body so it was safe for me to go home. They did that every week from about 4 months on. The hospital took to sending me home with the iv still in my arm.
My second pregnancy was bad but not nearly that bad ... I was on bedrest with him for 5 mos due to being too sick. they prescribed some wierd meds that were meth somethings and they didn't work then it was dramamine and suppositories, neither worked. Everything just made me sleepy.. Thank gods my older son was 9 by then and able to do for himself when needed.
Now with this pregnancy I an 16 weeks and still sick! I must say though that they gave me unisom and vitamin B6 and it has worked wonders but only if taken together and before I go to bed. I still get sick if I go off it for a night to see if I am still sick..lol serves me right. Rolling Eyes I am so glad this pregnancy is not as bad as the others. I have a 3 yo to look after this time around and I don't know how I would do it if I was that sick!
My only advice is to HANG IN THERE !!!! Your little one will come and it will make it all worth it !!!! Good luck .. and take care of yourself!!!

I feel your pain! I am the mother of 3 and I have had severe morning sickness with all 3. I was put in the hospital with all 3 preg. around 7-8 weeks. Everyone had advice but nothing worked for me except I.v fluids and zofran through an iv. However, around 14-16 weeks I gradually begin to feel better. (with my 1st child more like 25 weeks) But in the end I have 3 beautiful children and we are now starting to try for our 4th. So you will survive! Goodluck maybe it will soon come to an end.
