Hi there

Finally I have found a site where other woman are going through what I am! I am 9 weeks preggie with my second child (1st one is 4yrs). I first experienced morning sickness from 8 weeks to about 16 weeks with my first but it started early with this one (6 weeks) and seems to be 10 times worse! The continous "sickly" feeling (day and night), the dry reaching, the tiredness, the not knowing what to eat - oh when will it stop! My heart goes out to the others that are actually vomiting - I have all my fingers and toes crossed that I don't get to that stage. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one going through this but from reading other stories on this site I know that I am not alone Smile . I wish everyone out there lots of luck with the morning sickness and hope that we all have easy labours !!!!

Josh's Mum

Hello it's nice to have you here! I know everyone says "dry toast and crackers" but I just didnt want to eat anything like that at all HOWEVER, cheese and crackers was pretty much the only thing I could keep down! I'm sure, If you've read some of the "morning" sickness stories on here, then you must have read my nightmare! I had no choice but to be put on medication for months! It lasted about HALF of my entire pregnancy Shocked
OH God I remember one day my BF and I went for a walk downtown to my ex-work to pick up a check and I puked like every couple meters! Every step was TORTURE!!! LOL I had to sit down for like 45 mins at some partially underground garage or something while my poor man had to go and get me some water from a nearby store! Laughing Laughing Laughing Sure I can laugh about it now but then was a TOTALLY differrent story! Good luck and hopefully yours goes away soon!!

BTW Thank you I hope I have an easy labour too Wink
(and of course everyone else has one as well Razz )

I had what could be referred to as medically induced morning sickness where I was put on the pill (to attempt to treat Poly cystic ovary syndrome) and I reacted to it. I had different reactions to each type but overall I had typical morning sickness affects such as uncontrolable nausea, vomitting, constipation, mood swings, tiredness, cramping etc etc all caused by the sudden change in my hormone levels.

I found it really hard to eat anything and although salty crackers worked a treat ...they get pretty boring meals..... I found that I could eat certain really bland meals as long as i didn't have to smell them cooking.... I found that if I had to smell them cooking, then it was almost impossible to eat anything. My fiancee at the time (he is now my new husband) would cook with all the windows open and the fans going and would leave me in another room of the house while he cooked....then he would bring me my meal in that room. (i know he's a sweetheat) that way i wasn't really smelling the food before i had to try eat.....i found using that technique i could stomach really bland way of cooking steak and mashed veges....nothing exciting but food is food when you are weak from not eating. Hope this can help Wink
